No R-trains this weekend, folks. Also there is a diversion for Manhattan-bound D-trains. Here are your subway advisories for the weekend of January 29-30:

	Manhattan-bound D-trains run on the N-line from Coney Island to 36th Street. For service to Bay 50 St, 25 Av, Bay Pkwy, 20, 18 Avs, 79, and 71 Sts, take the D-train to New Utrecht Av-62 St and transfer downstairs to a Coney Island-bound D-train. For service to 55, 50 Sts, Ft Hamilton Pkwy, and 9 Av, take the D-train to 36 St and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D-train.
	N-trains run local from 59th Street to Canal Street, Manhattan.
	Reminder: Manhattan-bound stations at Avenue M and Avenue H are closed from “Hell” to “Freezes Over.”
	No R-trains in Brooklyn. Sorry. N-trains replace the R-train north of 59th Street. Shuttle buses replace R-trains throughout Bay Ridge from 59th Street to 95th Street.

UPDATED (Nov 17): The changes this week are exactly the same as last week, so I’m just bumping last week’s post back up to the top.

The biggest problem this weekend will be for F-train riders who intend to go to Manhattan or North Brooklyn this weekend - the F-trains are being replaced with shuttle buses from Church Avenue to Jay Street. Also, once again, both D- and N-train riders are half-screwed, depending on whether they’re coming or going.

Here are your subway advisories for the weekend of November 13th and 14th:

	No Coney Island-bound D-trains southeast of 36th Street. D’d will run on the N-line from 36th Street to Coney Island, starting at midnight Friday night. Take the Coney Island-bound D- or N-train to New Utrecht Ave/62nd St, and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D-train if you are traveling to one of these stations: 9th Ave, Fort Hamilton Parkway, 50th St, 55th St. Take the Coney Island-bound D- or N-train to Stillwell Ave, and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D-train if you are traveling to one of these stations: 71st St, 79th St, 18th Ave, 20th Ave, Bay Parkway, 25th Ave, Bay 50th St.
	No trains between Church Avenue and Jay Street, starting at 11:30pm Friday night. Use shuttle bus instead for your trips to/from Manhattan and North Brooklyn.
	No Manhattan-bound trains until 36th Street. N’s run on the D-line from Coney Island to 36th Street, starting at midnight Friday night. Take the Manhattan-bound N- or D-train to New Utrecht Ave/62nd St, and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N-train if you are traveling to one of these stations: 86th St, Ave U, Kings Highway, Bay Parkway, 20th Ave, 18th Ave. Take the Manhattan-bound N- or D-train to 36th St, and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N-train if you are traveling to one of these stations: Fort Hamilton Parkway, 8th Ave, 59th St.
	Reminder: Manhattan-bound stations at Avenue M and Avenue H are closed from now until hell freezes over.

I’m thinking about making James The Splendid Red Engine the official spokesman of the South Brooklyn weekend subway alerts. Here are your advisories for Saturday and Sunday:

	Suspended in Brooklyn, beginning 11:30 Friday night. N-train makes all local stops between Whitehall Street (Manhattan) and 59th Street (Brooklyn) Shuttle bus replaces R-train stops between 59th Street and 95th Street in Bay Ridge
	Coney Island-bound trains run on the N-line from 36th Street to Coney Island, beginning at midnight. Coney Island-bound passengers: if you are traveling to 9th Avenue, Fort Hamilton Parkway, 50th Street and 55th Street, you should take a CI-bound D- or N-train to New Utrecht Avenue/62nd Street, and switch upstairs to a Manhattan-bound D-train to complete their trip If you are traveling to 71st and 79th Streets, 18th and 20th Avenues, Bay Parkway, 25th Avenue, and Bay 50th Street, you should take a CI-bound D- or N-train to Stillwell Avenue/Coney Island, and switch to a Manhattan-bound D-train to complete their trip Manhattan-bound trips are unaffected Trips to New Utrecht Avenue/62nd Street and Stillwell Avenue/Coney Island are unaffected

That’s right, it’s that’s time again – shuttle bus mania! No D-trains on their regular route this weekend from 36th Street in Sunset Park all the way to Coney Island. The D will run along the N-line between these two stops, which I imagine is small consolation to those of you going to-n-fro New Utrecht Avenue or 86th Street.

The fun begins at 11:30pm on Friday night and runs through the weekend. If you’re brave and actually plan to take the shuttle bus this weekend, be sure you know where to look for it.

Attention, D-train riders: the first of the R160s (fancy term for ‘brand new train’) have been spotted on your line.
