The NY Aviators extended their winning streak to eight games by notching victories in three consecutive nights. The Aviators have improved their record to 19-12-2 and remains solidly in third place in FHL play.

New York Aviators 8, Rome Frenzy 1 - Matt Puntureri lead the way offensively with a season high seven points, which included a hat trick, and Jesse Felten chipped in with six points and a hat trick of his own. The Aviators exploded for a team high five first period goals. Mike Thomson also scored on a second period breakaway shot in his last game before being called up by the Wheeling Nailers.  Goaltender Pete Dundovich stopped 44 of the Frenzy’s 45 shots to pick up his 4th win of the season.

New York Aviators 3, Danbury Whalers 2 (OT) - John Goffredo netted the game winning goal just 25 seconds into overtime by putting home the one timer in the slot from Matt Puntureri. Puntureri also scored – his 22nd tally of the year – along with Jesse Felten. The Whalers game back from one-goal deficits twice to force overtime. Both teams put 33 shots on goal.

New York Aviators 4, Cape Cod Barons 1 - New York jumped to an early 1-0 lead after Chris Holmes potted his 11th of the season 3:28 into the first period.  Holmes put home Angelo Serse’s pass in front to get the A’s on the board.  Jesse Felten continued his goal scoring streak shortly after on his 14th of the year at the 6:32 mark. Nick Grove and John Goffredo would also score, and Kevin Druce made 21 saves. The Aviators put 36 shots on Barons goalie Chris Testa.

Transactions: Forward Mike Thomson (12 goals, 23 assists) called up to the Wheeling Nailers (East Coast Hockey League).
