Cyclones Home Opener Ticket Giveaway

The Brooklyn Cyclones open up their season next week. Their home opener is next Saturday, June 19 against the Staten Island Yankees, and I’ve got two extra tickets that I’m giving away!

The giveaway is really simple:

  • Leave a comment below this article and tell us why you love going to Brooklyn Cyclones games. Or, if you’ve never been, tell us why you want to go.
  • Leave your comment by this Saturday, June 12 by 11:59pm New York time.
  • Only one entry per person. No fair leaving comments with both your personal e-mail and your work e-mail!
  • On Sunday, I’ll number all of your comments and use Random.org to pick one out of the blue. The winner will be announced on next Monday’s South Blogistan roundup.

I’ll go first – I love the great seats, the seaside breeze, and the race of the condiments down the third base line. Good thing the seats are on the third base side! Woo hoo! Whadabout you?

    2. Ive never been to a brooklyn game, everytime i go to the beach at night on fridays to watch fireworks i hear the crowd yelling.. and i wish i was there. The breeze is awesome and i grew up watching coney go from good to bad to back to somewhat normal, and the stadium has helped that, would love to go watch a game!

    3. I’ve never been to a game but I’ve been to the stadium . When my sister got married we went to (what was then) Keyspan Park for the wedding photos. While standing in the middle of the infield to have our photos taken the sprinklers came on! I still don’t know if it was an accident or someone having some fun.

    4. I love the Cyclones and love going to the stadium. Been going since it was built. They play baseball the way it was meant to be, fast and done.

    5. I live in Coney Island, my apartment is in your photo. I remember seeing the stadium lights on early in the morning as I waited for the Q train. I remember the 69 Mets like it was yesterday. Why do I want to go to a Cyclones game? I love the small town atmosphere, watching the boys of summer playing America’s game. Especially like the between inning contests.

    6. I left my heart in Coney Island when had to leave Brooklyn for London one whole year ago. I’ll be back in NY next week for the first time since… and I’ll be straight on the subway for a Coney nostalgia trip. I’ve never been to a game (ever!! That’s the British for you…) but it would make my year!

    7. I’ll be leaving Brooklyn for a few months and will miss Coney dearly…. and I still haven’t been to a Cyclone’s game! I’d love to accompany my dear British friend, Kaya to a game before we hit the mermaid parade :) !!!
