A couple of nights ago, I commented on a Facebook thread started by Sheepshead Bites, regarding media coverage of the guns bust in Gravesend over the weekend:
You know which hawt lesbian schoolteachers I mean. James Madison High School (Midwood, Brooklyn) teachers Alini Brito and Cindy Mauro, accused of getting it on in an empty classroom while the schoolkids were in an assembly.

Who doesn’t remember these two? Indeed, this is what was going through my mind at the time.
Dayum. Now why didn’t any of MY schoolteachers look like that?
Seriously. My son is only in second grade, and he’s already had three more attractive teachers than I had through twelve. I’m seriously jealous.
One of the beautiful things about New York is, if you don’t like the news, wait ten minutes.

Though it turns out “charged” is a bit of a charged term – it doesn’t look like they’re facing any criminal charges, only disciplinary action by the DOE. But check out the picture that ran with yesterday’s story:

Whoa. The stress of four months in the Department of Ed’s rubber room seems to have gotten to them. Let’s see them side-by-side, shall we?

Mauro has a better photographer now than she did four months ago, but look at those smile wrinkles! It’s amazing how much stress can do in only four months – it’s like she’s gone through ten years of aging! Of course, it simply isn’t possible that the first photo is 10 years old. The Daily News would have used a recent photograph for its original story. They didn’t have any motivation to use an older photo, one with fewer wrinkles. Did they?

Of course, there’s always a motivation for going for the photo with cleavage, even faint, grainy, 12-dpi cleavage. It’s called, “Made Ya Look!”
