Hey everyone – I am working on some good things for this site for 2010. The first change was fairly minor – it was simply to permanently move the kinda-weekly wrap-up of interesting blog and news stories from Friday to Monday.

The second change was… well, you’re looking at it. After eight months, I finally gave the site a makeover that does not include the color teal.

I know what you’re thinking. “Baseball script? For a Brooklyn web site? Why Brian – that’s never been done before!!! You’re a genius!!!”

Ha. I’d actually like to do more work on the site’s design. But my web programming skills are rusty and outdated to boot. And there are other things I want to do here, content-wise. So other than a couple of ongoing tweaks, I think this redesign will be good enough to last through the next few months.

Stay tuned for some new features in the coming weeks. Next up – be on the lookout for a new photoseries.

P.S. You can now sign up for updates by e-mail. I’ll be getting the link in the sidebar eventually, but for now, you can sign up by following this link.

There were, in fact, a few hundred ballfields in southern Brooklyn in the 1920s. Some even hosted semi=pro games. So it is very apropos.
