R160s Coming To The D-train
Attention, D-train riders: the first of the R160s (fancy term for ‘brand new train’) have been spotted on your line.
(The train in the photo says ‘D’ – just trust me on this one.)

Yes – I should clarify. These are the first R160s on the D-line, not the system overall. In fact, the N-train has been running these almost exclusively for about two years, and they’re also in use on the F, JMZ, and Q lines.

This is VERY exciting news. It’s almost clause for not driving to Downtown Brooklyn anymore.

Apparently these cars were prototyped four years ago.
